Agreement

By using Sealed (sealed-app.com), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

What Sealed does

Sealed lets you make timestamped, cryptographically sealed claims. Your claim text is encrypted and hashed at the time of submission. After your chosen reveal date, the claim is decrypted and published. Three independent AI models then evaluate the claim against real-world evidence.

Sealed provides a cryptographic timestamp and integrity proof for personal and social use. It is not a legally recognised timestamping authority and should not be relied upon as legal evidence.

Your account

• You must be at least 16 years old to use Sealed.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials safe. We cannot be liable for any loss from unauthorised access to your account.
• One account per person. Automated or bulk account creation is not permitted.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Sealed to:

• Submit illegal, threatening, or harassing content.
• Impersonate another person or entity.
• Spam, create claims in bulk through automated means, or abuse the service in a way that degrades it for others.
• Attempt to tamper with the sealing, hashing, or encryption mechanisms.

Content is checked at submission using automated moderation. We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms.

Your content

You own your claims. By submitting a claim, you grant Sealed a limited licence to store, encrypt, decrypt, display (after reveal), and process your claim text through AI evaluation services. We do not sell your content or use it for purposes unrelated to the service.

Once a claim enters the reveal process, it cannot be retracted. Make sure you are comfortable with your claim being publicly visible before choosing a reveal date.

AI evaluation

After reveal, AI models search the web and assess your claim against available evidence. AI verdicts are automated and informational only. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, or biased. They do not constitute any form of official judgment, legal determination, or factual certification.

You should not rely on AI evaluations for any consequential decisions. Each verdict includes its sources so you can verify the evidence yourself.

Donations

Sealed is free to use. Donations via Buy Me a Coffee are voluntary and go towards server and inference costs. Donations do not entitle you to any additional features, service level, or support beyond what is available to all users.

Availability and warranty

Sealed is provided free of charge, on an “as is” basis, without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep the service running and your data safe, but we cannot guarantee 100% uptime or that the service will be available indefinitely.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sealed's total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you have paid us (which, for a free service, is nothing). We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Account deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your settings page. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practicable.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by placing a notice on the site. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
